MeadowBoo at Pannell Center, 10-26-23

Congressmember Doris Matsui secures $1.9 million dollar grant for the Pannell Community Center

At a February 28, 2023 ceremony at the Pannell Community Center, Congressmember Matsui presents a ceremonial check, signifying a 1.9 million dollar grant for the Pannell Community Center.  The grant will be utilized to provide enhanced air filtration and circulation, retrofits for enhanced insulation and partial electrification, energy storage system and a DC Fast Charger to support emergency response vehicles and equipment charging needs.

We thank the Sacramento City Unified School District, the Sacramento Tree Foundation, and the many volunteers who participated in planting 20 saplings at John H. Still Middle School on 02/18/23!


Kinetic Sculpture Arrives at Pannell!!



At long last, after COVID and supply chain problems hindered its completion, Meadowview's commissioned Kinetic Sculpture has arrived at Pannell!


There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community gathering at the Pannell Center at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 2nd.  All are welcome to attend.

MNA wins second prize for MLK Day Freedom Caravan Entry!!!

03/12/21 - COVID Shots at Pannell!

1000 COVID-19 vaccinations were administered at the Pannell Community Center.  A shout out to the staff at Pannell, Councilmember Vang, County Supervisor Kennedy, the Office of Emergency Services, and the hundreds of volunteers for their part in this important event!!!

Executive Chef Michael "Mike" Harris Founder & CEO of Giving4loss.com ("Free meals provided to support you during bereavement of your loved one.") started a 'free' Fresh Boxed Produce with Vegetable bins and meat offerings (Provided by Foodlink, thank you Nicole & Rod) every Friday at 10am at the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Meadowview Community Center 

All you need is to give your name and zip code and continue through the Drive up noncontact distribution point. 

 It has been both a wonderful and grateful experience to see such devotion to his community.

Business, Government and Community in Partnership

As a result of a COVID-19 grant from Bank of America, and with the support and organizational help of Councilman Carr and his office, Fresher Sacramento is able to provide nutritious meals to those in need in our area.  Meal distribution will occur at Pannell on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 5 PM, for at least 6 weeks. In the photo to the right, on May 14th, Rabbi David Azen is distributing dinners at the Pannell Community Center.

Councilman Larry Carr is retiring, and this primary's ballot includes new candidates for the District 8 council seat.  If any candidate wins a majority, that person will be our new Councilman or woman!  If not, the top two candidates will have a run-off in the November general election.  PLEASE REGISTER AND VOTE!

Fresher Sacramento served up Jambalaya for Fat Tuesday at their kitchen, located to the left of the Pannell Community Center. 

Two bounce houses were provided for the kids, who had a fun and positive day.
